Precious Cora

I couldn't decide if I wanted to write anything about our dear niece Cora. I know so many people have already written about what she's going through, and so many are praying, but I felt that even if there is just one new person that hears and prays, it would still mean so much to all of us, so I decided I would let you know what's been happening the past 2 weeks.

Cora is our 10 month old niece.

Such a sweet heart.

Beautiful little personality.

So bubbly and fun.

And a smile you can't wait to see when you visit!

Jess and Joel found out Cora has stage 4 neuroblastoma. She has gone through one round of chemo already. The rest of her chemo will be decided once the test comes back telling which type of neuroblastoma it is. Right now, she is in Pediatrics ICU recovering from the chemo, slowly getting off oxygen, waiting for her wound to stop seeping, eating through a feeding tube, and trying to get over an infection they found in her body.

But through all this, we have been so blessed by Jess and Joel's steadfast faith and knowledge that God is in control in this situation. There have been MANY people supporting Jess and Joel, and so many more across the country praying for their family. But if there happens to be anyone else who is just finding out, more prayer is always welcome.

When we visited Cora after her surgery, Jess said Cora's motto for this is "Kick it in the Butt!"

So that's just what we're gonna do.

Through prayer, support, praising God and trusting him in all circumstances...we're gonna kick that cancer right in the butt.
