Visiting the Pumpkin Patch!

Fall is one of my favorite times of the year. I love all the colors and crisp weather. It's always so refreshing after such a hot summer. While we're still waiting for that cooler weather, we've been able to do a few festive fall activities.

We found out about a pumpkin patch near our house, so off we went. There were so many fun activities for children, including two moon jumpers, a huge sandbox full of corn, a little petting zoo, and even a tractor ride...and the best part...it was all free!

I found a pumpkin that was the same size as my baby belly! I thought it was pretty impressive!

Ellie had never been to a pumpkin patch before, so we weren't sure what she would think. She was so funny to watch. We tried to get her to take a few pictures by the pumpkins, but she just kept looking at them, like what in the world is this thing! Some of them were bigger than her, so she probably had a little reason to be skeptical! She loved the animals and the corn box. At the end of our little adventure, we let her pick out her very own little pumpkin. She looked through the whole box before she found one she wanted.

She kept saying "uh-oh" and tried to pick off the bumps on all the warty pumpkins.

No matter what we did, Ellie would not look at us and smile, so this was the closest we could get to a smile...I hope it counts!

Once she picked one out, off she went. She wasn't going to let anyone take it from her!

She became quite attached to it, and gave it kisses and hugs on the way to the car. What a loved pumpkin! Our little adventure was definitely a day full of fun memories!
